T he Gharda Foundation is a private, non-profit, philanthropic organisation dedicated to Holistic Rural development. We are committed to a philosophy of development rather than charity and strive to make villagers self reliant and feel ownership of projects that are put into action. Our village development activities focus on co- operative schemes with villagers to provide them with the basis for self sufficiency and self determination.

G iven our Holistic ideology we work on all aspects of rural life including agriculture, irrigation, education, environment, health, women & children and income generation. We also believe in a participatory approach and initiate only those projects where we can be assured of the full participation and contribution of the villagers.
